A truly rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within this highly respected, Chartered, Top 50 UK Broker for an experienced Account Executive to inherit, maintain and maximise a fiercely loyal, retiring Director’s client bank.
You’ll inherit a varied client bank producing c£300K in income and consisting of some of the region’s leading Manufacturing, Haulage and Agricultural businesses. With a focus on providing a seamless transition of client contact, you’ll concentrate on quickly establishing strong trading relationships, demonstrating capability and the provision of a concierge level of service that these clients are used to receiving.
As expected from a broker of this calibre, you’ll be equipped with all the tools needed to carry out your role to the highest standards and you’ll have the support of two experienced Commercial Account Handlers to assist with all technical administration in the form of adjustments, quotations, renewal preparation and document production etc. There will be access to an impressive array of marketing material and all the agencies you could possibly wish for too.
Reporting into the Operations Director, and to quote them, “I’m looking for a trusted ally to work alongside me not below me”, you’ll be an integral part of the local management team and will have a voice and input with regards to strategy and development of this high-performing branch.
Initially, there will be an expectation to be visible within the office in order to develop relationships with the existing team, effect a thorough client handover, and to gain an appreciation of the wider organisation, its values and processes. Post Covid though, this broker is committed to a new hybrid way of working that can be adapted around the successful candidate.
Our client is keen to start a dialogue with interested candidates right now. It is essential that you can demonstrate proven client-servicing experience from within the commercial insurance arena. Ideally, with 10+ years relevant experience, you’ll have the gravitas and flexibility to adapt your style and approach according to each client relationship. It goes without saying that you’ll have an in-depth knowledge of UK commercial insurance products and will be able to identify gaps in insurance programmes that can benefit the clients’ risk exposure too. Ideally, you’ll also have an appreciation of the demographics of the region’s business sectors and will understand the risks associated therein.
