This is a superb chance to join a boutique corporate broking practice in an Account Director role where your clients’ activities will truly shape the world in years to come.

This global broker’s Education portfolio comprises some of the UK’s most prestigious Universities; home to some of the brightest minds on the planet, many of whom will go on to be seen as tomorrow’s leaders across multiple disciplines. Many of these universities have inhouse incubators, developing cutting-edge initiatives in the fields of life sciences, technology and engineering.

As Account Director, you will work with Corporate Account Executives based across a number of regional offices, growing this brokers’ Education offering through the development and execution of servicing and sales strategies, thought leadership, and innovation. As a senior member of the Public Sector Division, you will be a figurehead for Education clients within the brokerage, and tasked with developing a reputation within the sector as an expert, as well as growing the brand with internal and external stakeholders. This will include speaking at high profile industry events across the country. Building a superb knowledge of the procurement and tender processes for such accounts, you will help Corporate Account Executives with the development and management of Education prospects, attending new business presentations as required, often at some of the UK’s best-known universities.

Whilst experience of Public Sector or Education accounts would be advantageous, it is by no means essential. Equally, progress made towards professional qualifications are not a prerequisite but would add significant weight to your application. However, you must be experienced in handling corporate insurance, dealing with sophisticated buyers of complex insurance programmes, and au fait with the full range of commercial covers including Property & Liability insurance. You must be well-polished and articulate, with the gravitas to influence a variety of stakeholders, including Bursars and Vice Chancellors of Russell Group Universities, for example.

Our client will consider talented candidates, who have the relevant experience, from broking claims and insurance company backgrounds.

Whilst you will be visiting clients, as well as colleagues from offices throughout the UK, you will be based remotely from home, where you will benefit from the autonomy to manage your own diary.

In return, you will receive a highly competitive basic salary (plus car allowance) and one of the most impressive ‘flexible’ benefits packages in the industry that can be tweaked to suit your specific circumstances.
