Here, you will undertake all client-servicing duties associated with your portfolio – client facing duties, renewal work, insurer negotiation, mid-term amendments and policy administration. There is no expectation to transfer clients post covenant, and no expectation to write new business; indeed, the MD jokes, “we’ve got more than enough enquires coming in that we’ve never had to set sales targets and are not about to start now!”
We welcome applications from commercial insurance professionals of all disciplines, from experienced Account Executives, through to Brokers, Account Handlers and Underwriters, who are ready to step into a ‘client ownership’ style position. You must have a sound understanding of the basics of commercial insurance, although training will be on offer to ensure that you can progress to deal with more complex risks if needs be. You should have excellent customer service skills and share this broker’s commitment to helping the York business community.
