This is a superb opportunity for a gifted Management Liabilities expert to forge an excellent career in a highly visible role with this global broking house. This broker’s Management Liabilities Division is enjoying a sustained period of growth, and has recently benefited from a new management team. As such, this is great opportunity to join a successful department that is going through an exciting period of change where you can help set the future direction of the Division.

Here, you will be responsible for managing a team of 12 (comprising Account Executives, Brokers and Handlers) based across a number of locations UK-wide, ensuring that they retain and grow their portfolios. You will also inherit a small book of larger and more complex clients to personally oversee. You’ll be responsible for the development of your team, ensuring that they are delivering excellent levels of client service, keeping abreast of developments within the sector, and progressing towards their personal development plans in line with each individual’s ambitions. Acting as a departmental ambassador, you’ll build excellent relationships, promoting the Management Liabilities Division within the wider brokerage, highlighting to colleagues how this talented team has some market-leading facilitates at their disposal, and demonstrating how these can strengthen the insurance programmes of clients from all industry sectors.

As the team is based across the UK, this can be a home-based role but will be required to visit offices across England and Scotland with some regularity. Depending on your location, this could potentially mean a day in an office every week or fortnight (more regularly if desired).

It is essential that you have significant knowledge of Management Liabilities covers, and we welcome applications from candidates whose experience has been gained in broking, underwriting or claims environments. Ideally, you will be an experienced manager, although we are also keen to hear from candidates who have more limited management experience (such as being a senior member of a team and assuming some unofficial mentoring duties, or deputising in the absence of a Line Manager) who can demonstrate that they are ready to move into a full-time leadership role. You must be confident, articulate and able to secure buy-in from clients and colleagues alike. It is important that you have a genuine passion for creating a ‘team-centric culture’ where everyone works to shared goals and objectives, and you must also be keen to promote inter-departmental collaboration.

In return, you will receive a generous basic salary, bonus and one of the most comprehensive benefits packages in the market (including up to 12% pension contribution) that can be tweaked to suit your own specific circumstances. For the ambitious, this role has incredible opportunities for progression as the department continues to grow and evolve.
