There is now an immediate requirement for a Senior Claims Advocate to join the company’s renowned Global Broking Centre and to become responsible for claims strategy, settlement, consultancy, market negotiation and expert liaison for all Property and Casualty claims within a portfolio of clientele that operate on a global basis. In this business critical, highly visible role, you’ll be comfortable working with great responsibility and autonomy. Your wide and varied responsibilities will include but not be limited to co-ordinating high value, complex losses across the suite of Property and Casualty classes of business, providing considered advice and assistance to your clients to help them mitigate risk, substantiate claims and ultimately keep trading. You’ll be on hand to provide advice and guidance with regards to coverage, oversee claim notification, and subsequently carefully control the claims negotiation process with Clients, Legal Experts, Loss Adjusters and Carriers too.
This is a true client-facing role and you’ll be expected on-site at the early stages of claims. You will then co-ordinate and lead further discussions/ meetings with clients, insurers and experts to ensure that there is no procrastination in the process. Additionally, you’ll work closely with the placement team providing valuable claims input for pre-renewal meetings and negotiations. Keeping a close eye on all claims data, identifying any trends or concerns that may require Risk Management intervention will also be key to the role.
You’ll be a highly experienced claims specialist, senior in terms of career, with the ability to influence, negotiate and communicate effectively at the very highest level. Ideally, you’ll be ACII qualified, with a relevant business/ law-related degree to underpin your proven expertise in handling Global Property and Casualty Claims.You’ll be comfortable in pressurised scenarios and will be articulate and eloquent when discussing claims coverage and wordings with carriers.
