You will help to grow the commercial insurance portfolio by providing comprehensive insurance solutions to a wide variety of clients. In line with this company’s appetite for business, you will target lucrative industry sectors such as Food, Wholesale, Hospitality and Manufacturing. Leads will come from internal referrals, ‘warm’ existing prospects, as well as ones that you self-generate via your own networking.
Once prospective clients have been identified, you will complete a thorough review of their insurance requirements and liaise with your technical team in order to design a suitable insurance programme that provides competitive cover at a comprehensive premium.
It is not essential that you have previous insurance experience as award-winning, comprehensive training will be provided. This business is so proud of its reputation that it will make sure that you have all the tools and support that you need in order to succeed. You must have a strong track record in consultative sales (ideally in a face-to-face, business to business B2B capacity), together with well-honed communication skills and the ability to secure buy-in from a wide range of customers. You must also be a self-starter, who is well-organised and able to manage your own sales pipeline and existing client base.
You will receive an attractive basic salary, plus a lucrative bonus scheme. It is envisioned that over the coming years, you will progress into a joint business owner position, which would ultimately lead to a very substantial annual income and heightened responsibilities.
