Here, you will be dealing with a varied and challenging portfolio comprising clients from a wide variety of sectors such as Food & Beverage, Real Estate and Tech. Accounts will range in size and complexity, from corporates delivering total brokerage around the £15K-20K mark, to UK-domiciled blue-chips with operations in a dozen countries across the globe that pay six-figure fees.
Dealing with sophisticated insurance buyers (typically at CEO / CFO level), you will be the key contact between the client, the insurance market and colleagues (including the local general Corporate Team, and specialists based nationally and globally) in regards to Financial Lines matters. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the provision of services, ensuring the client benefits from the full suite of specialist Financial Lines services at their disposal. Whilst this role is very much focused on the management of existing business, you will also identify commercial opportunities to help grow accounts. For example, where gaps in cover exist, you will introduce colleagues from other areas of the business, such as Risk Management and Credit Insurance. You may also be asked to assist colleagues who are leading new business pitches and presentation to clients that have a high degree of Financial Lines exposure.
As a ‘product line ambassador’, you will keep abreast of developments within this fast-paced sector and educate clients and collages alike to the features, benefits and nuances of Financial Lines.
We welcome applications from Account Executives, as well as Account Handlers and Underwriters who feel ready to assume such a challenge. As well as a solid grounding in the basics of commercial insurance, it is essential that you have a good knowledge of Financial Lines products such as Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers, Pension Trustee Liability, Cyber or Employment Practices Liability.
You must also have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and be able to put together a variety of accurate and informative documentation, reports and submissions. As you will be responsible for securing your clients the most comprehensive cover at competitive premiums, you must also be a confident negotiator and have the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at a variety of carriers.
Whilst not essential, progress made towards professional qualifications will add significant weight to your application.
