The specialist claims recruitment practice at Aston Charles has recently been engaged by this outstanding Insurance Broking and Risk Management specialist to help them source a Cross Class Claims Executive within its Claims Consultancy covering the more Northern parts of England. This is a truly outstanding opportunity for an experienced Claims Executive/ Manager to join one of the most highly regarded insurance brokers in the UK and beyond.
This business boasts an enviable corporate and public sector client base, that includes some very well-known corporate entities and some of the UK’s largest public sector entities too. Each client will have its own bespoke insurance programme consisting of the core commercial products of Property, Fleet, EL , PL and Product Liability. Additional covers to include Cyber, Professional Indemnity and many others will also be encountered according to the client’s specific requirements.
Working remotely but with a regular report into the regional office, you will take full responsibility for your allocation of claims and manage the claims process from notification to settlement/ closure. You will take active involvement in large and complex losses and be a comfortable operator in face to face meetings with clients, loss adjusters and insurers. Additionally, you‘ll be confident in the negotiation of contested and repudiated claims, providing strong broking arguments to support ex-gratia payment requests, when appropriate. In addition to your technical expertise and negotiation experience, you will be able to demonstrate advanced relationship management skills in order to develop strong relationships with clients, insurers, loss adjusters and other specialists. You’ll also work closely with Account Executives and Directors to ensure that your clients receive the best possible terms and premiums by collating accurate management information on their claims experience, identifying any trends or risk management concerns, where appropriate.
Alongside your technical claims skills, you’ll take a proactive approach to ongoing risk mitigation, claims defensibility and cost reduction analysis. Working consultatively with your clients, you’ll help them to be cognizant of the root cause of their losses, why they’ve happened, and how they can minimise the potential for them to re-occur.
As a Claims Executive within this high profile, market-leading broker, you will have an elevated profile within the region, including acting as a mentor to less-experienced colleagues. You will also educate other members of the broking team in claims processes and procedures. As such, it is essential that you possess a sense of gravitas, combined with being open and approachable for advice.
It is imperative that you have extensive technical claims knowledge of all the core commercial classes and will be comfortable in client, stakeholder and expert facing scenarios. You will ideally be Cert CII qualified and be looking to progress to Dip CII and beyond.
