In an ideal world they’d attract a wealth of new business and not have any additional claims handling requirements, but in reality this unfortunately is not the case. This broker therefore now has a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Claims Handler to join its friendly, welcoming and highly professional team.
As a Commercial Claims handler here, you’ll play a traditional broking role where you’ll work on behalf of your client portfolio, keeping a close eye out for any procrastination in the chain thus ensuring that all valid claims are handled and settled expediently. You’ll be responsible for taking all First Notification of Loss calls and subsequently notifying relevant insurers and experts, where appropriate. Additionally, you’ll produce regular claims reports, keeping a close eye on trends and concerns and highlighting any potential risk management issues to your clients and the controlling Account Executive. The retention and recording of accurate data is also key to this role. Accuracy and attention to detail will be required at all times alongside your advanced communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
Ideally, you’ll have proven experience of handling claims within one or more of the core commercial classes namely EL, PL, Property and Fleet, and you’ll be able to demonstrate advanced levels of communication, influencing and client-care skills.
