This is genuinely one of the most exciting broking opportunities we have recruited for in recent years.

As a result of continued growth, a new role has arisen within the specialist Insolvency Insurance Division of this global broking giant. You’ll be joining a well-established team that enjoys a very high profile within the company. It is headed by some of the most experienced and talented veterans within the industry and as a result, it continues to exceed targets, whilst enjoying a 100% employee engagement rating.

Working within this fascinating niche, you will be responsible for arranging the insurance cover for a wide range of corporate clients spanning a multitude of commercial covers. Working closely with your clients (typically Insolvency Practitioners and Receivers), you will in turn make sure that their own clients are adequately insured, which will involve efficient and effective fact-finding and investigation into the specifics of the required insurance programmes. You’ll be utilising a specialist scheme underwritten by a top insurer, although bespoke cover and referrals are often required due to the complex nature of some of the insured risks.

This is a very fast-paced role, and you’ll often be required to provide cover at very short notice, within strict timeframes. As such, you’ll be efficient, well-organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. You’ll be naturally inquisitive about business and have the confidence to question the insured (often very high profile clients) about their insurance cover, whilst displaying first-class communication and ambassadorial skills.

This role really is incredibly diverse; you’ll have exposure to a wide range of risks spanning many industry sectors, and this will include some extremely high profile concerns that are often featured in the national news. For example, one day you might be dealing with the insurance for a well-known travel operator, and the next day, the cover for one of the most famous retail groups in the country. Because of this, you must be versatile, flexible in your approach, and have the ability to pick things up quickly.

Our client is flexible on experience and will consider talented candidates from across broking and underwriting. However, you must have a good working knowledge of the main commercial covers; as a minimum, Property & Casualty / Commercial Combined. Whilst this is not a sales role, it is essential that you are keen to place business.
