We are delighted to be exclusively representing a prestigious global insurance broker, which is recruiting for a talented Account Handler to work within its specialist Insolvency Division in the Reading area.

Utilising a small number of schemes backed by top insurers, you will provide short-term insurance cover for Insolvency Practitioners, who are handling businesses that have recently gone into administration. This is fast-paced role, where you will need to quickly establish cover requirements, utilise appropriate markets, whilst working closely with various internal and external stakeholders including Client Directors and Surveyors. You will also be responsible for identifying the need for specific conditions, exclusions and warranties, as well as sourcing appropriate assistance for certain covers that cannot be catered for under the in-house, open cover schemes.
This is NOT a mundane role, dealing with the same renewals, over and over again. Instead, you’ll continually be presented with new and interesting risks, which could literally be anything from well-known Football Clubs, Construction Firms, large Property Owners, through to high profile Travel Operators. In fact, you are likely to be dealing with troubled business concerns that make the national news.
Our client will consider candidates from a range of commercial insurance backgrounds, including broking, underwriting, claims and surveying. Equally, they will consider candidates with just a couple of years’ experience, through to more seasoned insurance professionals within the Insolvency arena. Importantly, you’ll have knowledge of the main commercial insurance covers (Property/ Commercial Combined/ SME Packages/ Liability, together with strong organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. It is also essential that you are an excellent communicator, and able to build rapport with a wide range of clients and stakeholders.
