Working within a close-knit team, you will support Mortgage Advisers with the administration of technical mortgage business. Key duties will include, but not be limited to, submitting online applications to lenders, checking documents, chasing outstanding information from a variety of internal and external stakeholders, and dealing with simple client enquiries.

Previous experience within mortgages or financial services is NOT ESSENTIAL, however, you must have excellent administration skills, with the ability to produce very accurate documentation within strict timescales. This will inevitably be backed up with strong written and numeracy skills. As you’ll also be dealing with people over the telephone, you will have first-class communication skills and an excellent telephone manner. To tie in with the reputation and values of this outstanding firm, you’ll be engaging and positive, with a “can-do” attitude; always looking for ways to improve, as well as assisting others wherever possible. As expected in this type of role, you will be ‘juggling’ a lot of tasks, and so you must be good at organising and prioritising.

If you wish to progress beyond this position, there is a clearly-defined career path into a more technical Case Manager position. This will include more in-depth administrative and client-ownership responsibilities, as well as the opportunity to earn substantial bonus for gaining regular customer reviews, as well as solicitor referrals. Case Managers are paid up to £26K basic with genuine on target earnings of £33K. Beyond that, there is the chance to train to become a Mortgage Adviser (full support with the CeMAP qualification provided) - top Mortgage Advisers in the business earn £100K+.
