Our client is a well-known commercial insurance brokerage based in Leeds city centre. It is headed by a young, entrepreneurial management team (whom you will report directly to), and has a flat structure, meaning your successes will be visible to all.

This broker is performing tremendously, and is viewed somewhat of a ‘disrupter’ in the local market – challenging the status quo and steadily taking market share from many longer-established firms with, “well, we’ve always done it that way” attitudes. In a few short years, this firm has become known as one of West Yorkshire’s fastest-growing insurance brokers. As a Contact Management Executive, you will be working in a lead generation and appointment-setting capacity on behalf of the Sales Team. Using a market-leading database of verified prospects, you will contact clients from a range of industry sectors from across the region. Rather than simply just ‘filling your colleagues’ diaries’ with appointments, you will take a more sophisticated approach; trying to establish the buying style of each prospect, alongside with all the pertinent information necessary to make your colleagues’ conversations as fruitful as possible – renewal date, premium size, turnover, current broker etc.

It is essential that you have experience of working in a similar outbound, business development capacity. Ideally, this will have been gained in an insurance environment, but this is by no means essential as full training will be given.

You must have excellent communication skills, and be able to quickly build a professional rapport with business owners from all walks of life. You should also be tenacious and well-organised, with the ability to ‘think on your feet.’

You will benefit from fantastic opportunities for progression, with the MD personally taking a keen interest in your successes – high performers could soon find themselves ‘fast tracked’ into a client-facing ‘Account Executive’ style position. You will also receive a generous basic salary (negotiable, but anticipated to be to circa £30K), with regular bonuses (paid per appointment generated, and additionally, once your leads are converted into a sale), plus a comprehensive array of benefits. You will also be welcome to spend part of your week working from home.
