With political uncertainty being daily news, coupled with complex global supply chain issues faced by companies in all sectors, as well as the war in Ukraine, it’s fair to say that even the most well-heeled firms are increasingly conscious of their cashflow and concerned about customer insolvency.
As such, this is a superb time to be joining the specialist Credit Insurance Division of one of the world’s best-known insurance brokers. This team focusses on complex Credit Insurance pertaining to very large companies that, specifically, have multiple global lines – the largest client having 90 credit policies and an annual turnover of $16 billion.
The company’s client lists spans every conceivable sector such as Engineering, Food & Beverage, Construction and Wholesale, and includes some of the UK’s most prestigious privately-owned and publicly-listed businesses.
This role can be based in either the City or Chelmsford, but as the firm is a big advocate of flexible-working, you will only need to ‘check in’ at a local office for team meetings every week or so, therefore this role is sure to appeal to Credit Insurance professionals from across the South East. In fact, the MD is very open about the fact that a major selling point of this opportunity is, “the flexibility that comes with it.”
As well as inheriting a substantial portfolio of accounts, you will support the global business operationally; providing guidance to less-experienced colleagues, helping with the Division’s strategy, and creating a culture of mutual cross-selling with colleagues from across the group.
It is essential that you are an experienced Credit Insurance professional with a detailed knowledge of the market and the requirements of firms from all industry sectors, ideally including global customers. We welcome applications from candidates from both broking and insurer backgrounds. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels and from all walks of life. In addition, you’ll be able to explain the nuances of the Credit Insurance sector and how it can be a beneficial addition to any firm’s insurance programme.
The MD is proud that their team comprises, “the brightest and best” Credit insurance professionals in the industry, which is truly reflected in its client base; most being well-known household name companies.
In return, you will receive a generous, negotiable basic salary, plus a market-leading flexible-benefits package (including a fantastic pension arrangement), that can be tweaked to suit your personal circumstances.
