It is not often that this world-leading corporate insurance brokerage, based in the heart of Newcastle city centre, has an opportunity for an aspiring Commercial Insurance Administrator.

Our client is a real force to be reckoned with; not only insuring some of the most prestigious household name corporations in the North East, but some of the most coveted insurance accounts throughout the whole of the UK. This team is renowned for being one of the best in the business, spearheaded by a highly experienced leadership team that is helping to shape incredible insurance careers for its staff.

As a result of ongoing growth, a need has arisen for a Commercial Administrator to assist with the ongoing management and retention of corporate insurance business. Duties will include, but certainly not be limited to, maintaining accurate client risk information on the database, processing endorsements to insurance policies, generating invoices, and assisting with ad hoc tasks, as required.

What’s particularly attractive about this opportunity is that our client is keen to secure an ambitious candidate who would like to progress to become a fully-fledged Corporate Insurance Broker, where you’ll learn to deal with large and complex insurance programmes. Along this journey, you will benefit from a world-leading training and development programme, which will include being fully funded and supported with professional insurance qualifications under the Chartered Insurance Institute. There really are few insurance businesses in the North East, which will give you such great exposure to high profile insurance risks.

Ideally, you will either have some previous exposure to commercial insurance, or alternatively some experience with the Acturis insurance software. Having said that, for high calibre, aspiring insurance professionals, the company is willing to consider candidates from a range of insurance backgrounds. Crucially, you’ll be well-organised, with strong attention to detail and polished communication skills, both written and verbal. Perhaps you are a junior Commercial Insurance Account Handler / Underwriter / Administrator who is looking to get your ‘foot in the door’ within the ‘major corporate’ insurance arena. To fit in with the culture of this very friendly and supportive team, you’ll be a team player, who is willing to work towards shared goals and objectives.
