Due to the continued acquisition of quality accounts, it seeks a Corporate Account Manager that shares it commitment to delivering excellent client service. Here, you will be working alongside some of the most talented insurance processionals in the market, helping with the management and coordination of corporate accounts. The portfolio that you working on will comprise cases of varying complexity, and individual clients could generate fees between £15K-£250K per annum. Risks will come from a variety of sectors such as Tech, Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, Retail and Construction. s one would expect, many of these clients have operations overseas, meaning that they have global programmes.
This role is a lot more involved than many competing Senior Broker or Corporate Account Manager positions, and you will be encouraged to build strong relations with your clients and develop a detailed knowledge of the risks that their businesses face. You will scrutinise their current arrangements and, where gaps in cover exist, you will highlight these and suggest innovative solutions to ensure risks are mitigated. You will effectively manage all renewals and MTAs in a timely fashion, ensuring that client and market documentation is prepared well in advance. You will also help with the broking of new business, ensuring that placements are in accordance with group strategy. As you would expect, this will require negotiating with Underwriters at a range of carriers to obtain the most comprehensive cover at competitive premiums.
Whilst it is not a prerequisite that you are currently working at a global broker, or dealing with six-figure cases, it is essential that you have some experience of dealing with mid / corporate cases paying fees in excess of 10K and are confident in your ability to deal with more complex cases. You must be au fait with all common commercial covers, and comfortable dealing with clients from a variety of sectors.
You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to build a professional rapport with a variety of stakeholders. This should also include excellent negotiation and influencing skills, so you can achieve positive outcomes on behalf of your clients. You must also be well-organised, able to manage a variety of tasks and have a keen eye for detail.
Our client is based just seconds’ walk from Manchester Piccadilly station and all the local amenities. However, you will be welcome to spend several days per week working from home.
