This is an extremely opportune time to join this flourishing boutique IFA firm based in Leeds city centre.
The business was recently set up by a well-known and high profile IFA Director, who sold their previous company to a national IFA concern. Preferring the dynamics of a smaller business, the MD is now focused on growing this new firm, and is already managing significant FUM as a result of their decades of experience and relationships in the market.
As a result of this growth, we are now looking for a Paraplanner to join the small but growing team. Being a newly-established business, this is a superb chance to get in early, and benefit from the career-development opportunities that will follow. Moreover, you’ll be working with an IFA business leader who has a very strong track record of developing his employees, and helping them to realise their full potential.
The MD of this directly authorised firm cites, “this is a role that can truly evolve as we grow, and we can very much shape the position to suit the skills, experience and ambitions of the successful candidate.”
Whilst many IFA firms profess to have a HNW client bank, this firm truly does – the majority of its clients being high net worth families connected to owner-managed businesses, and typically having £2M+ in FUM. The Director says, “this Paraplanner will be exposed to some really interesting business, as a result of our affluent client list.”
Working closely with MD and other colleagues, you will operate as a team throughout the advice process, ensuring a first-class client service is delivered. More specifically, you will interpret data obtained during client meetings, conducting research to provide solutions to meet their needs, and recommending an appropriate course of action through suitability letters. Other day to day duties will include dealing with client and provider queries, preparing existing client files ready for reviews, and ensuring all files are compliant on an ongoing basis. You must maintain up to date product knowledge in order to ensure reports are technically accurate and compliance standards are adhered to.
With this exciting business being in its infancy, we are looking for a ‘hands on’ Paraplanner, who is willing to assist in a range of different areas, and get ‘stuck in’. It is essential that you have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Paraplanner, together with strong organisational and communication skills. Just as importantly, to fit in with the highly friendly and supportive team, you’ll be engaging, approachable, and a positive team player.
You’ll be rewarded with a generous basic salary (Negotiable, depending on experience) together with a range of company benefits including 4 X Death in Service, and discretionary annual bonus.
