There surely cannot be many better environments in Leeds for a relatively junior insurance professional to forward their career than this well respected broking house. You will manage a portfolio of clients with individual premium spends of up to £10K, including undertaking all renewal work, administering mid-term amendments and answering any general enquiries. You will also be expected to place new business cases on an ad-hoc basis. Other responsibilities include handling your own administration, ensuring all work is carried out in an accurate, timely and complaint fashion.

As you will be dealing with a range of covers such as Property, Liability, Commercial Combined and Packages, it is essential that you have prior knowledge of commercial insurance. This can be gained from a commercial broking, underwriting or claims background.
As this role sits within the busy Small Business Unit, it is essential that you have experience of working in a similar fast-paced environment where the ability to demonstrate a sense of pace and urgency without letting your standards slip, is key.

You must be a strong team-player, with excellent communication skills in order to forge strong relationships with colleagues, clients and Underwriters. You will also be meticulous in your approach and have a keen eye for detail.

Whilst this is by no means a sales role, we are particularly interested in hearing from those candidates with a flair for trading, who are quick to spot opportunities to cross and up sell ancillary products or seek new business referrals from existing clients.

This is a full time, permanent role (09:00-17:00, with one hour for lunch), that initially offers 25 days holiday per year, and then increases with service thereafter.
