Employing some of the most prodigious talent in the City, this global broking house will surely be of interest to high calibre insurance professionals seeking the opportunity to further their career working amongst likeminded individuals.

As Corporate Account Manager, you will work in close conjunction with Account Executives and Account Directors in a role that can be described as a ‘Corporate Account Handler with enhanced duties.’ You will assume responsibility for a large part of the day to day management of a portfolio of mid-to-large corporate clients. As well as being heavily involved in the renewal process, you will scrutinise clients’ insurance programmes, identifying potential gaps in cover and cross-selling opportunities. You may also be tasked with helping to place any new business cases won by your colleagues from the New Business Teams.

It is imperative that you have a sound technical understanding of all common commercial covers, and experience of handling corporate clients paying fees well in excess of £25K. As preparing reports and associated documentation is a key part of this role, it is essential that you have a keen eye for detail and strong communication and IT skills. Needless to say, solid negotiation skills and knowledge of appropriate markets for specific risks, is also a prerequisite. As you will be the ‘hub’ of the unit handling specific accounts (comprising Account Executives/ Directors, Claims Handlers and Administrators, to name but a few), it is essential that you are a strong team player, and able to manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Whilst not essential, it is highly likely that you have made significant progress towards professional qualifications under the CII.

In return, you will receive a competitive basic salary, anticipated to be in the region of £35-45K, but completely negotiable for outstanding candidates. You will also be granted a comprehensive benefits package, including support towards professional qualifications. You will also benefit from a myriad of opportunities for career progression into a variety of roles.
