As the much publicised ‘war for talent’ heats up, insurance businesses are having to create unique propositions to attract the best. This global broking house’s offering certainly stands out from the crowd.
Targeting cases generating fees in excess of £10K, the benefits of working for a much respected global will be immediately obvious. You will work closely with a highly skilled team of corporate brokers based locally, as well as having unlimited access to specialist teams based in the City, who are well-versed in the placement of niche risks.

Inheriting an established pipeline of corporate prospects, you will target miscellaneous accounts from a range of industry sectors, or from within a specialist niche, if you prefer. As a FTSE 250 company, you will benefit from this broker’s high profile in the UK business community, a formidable marketing budget and lead generation/ appointment setting support from a dedicated, in-house team of Contact Managers.

As you will be targeting professional buyers such as Finance Directors and Company Secretaries, you will share this broking house’s sophisticated approach to account growth and development, displaying a demonstrable knowledge of the buying styles of corporates. In order to secure buy-in from key personnel at multi million pound turnover businesses, you must be a highly presentable, articulate and polished communicator. Equally, in order to pull together colleagues from various parts of the organisation and adopt a project management approach to winning new business, you must be a strong team player, with a natural sense of gravitas and motivational flair.

As you would expect, it is also essential that you have a sound working knowledge of all common commercial classes, such as Property, Liability, PI and D&O etc. Ideally, this will be backed up by professional qualifications under the CII, although this is by no means essential.

Preferably, you will be seeking a pure new business role, although our client welcomes applications from those outstanding candidates who seek to build their own portfolio. Likewise, it is anticipated that you will currently be working within a corporate insurance environment, although we will consider applications from outstanding commercial insurance professionals, who feel they are ready to step up to the premier league.
