Our client, a specialist insurance brokerage in London, is looking to appoint a Senior Account Executive/ Director to inherit a portfolio of niche accounts comprising specialist Jewellers’ Block, Specie and associated lines.
Trading for over 100 years and regarded as a leading institution within the UK’s thriving Jewellery market, this well-respected firm is looking to maintain its place at the front of the pack. Our client offers an innovative yet personable service, resulting in long-lasting relationships and a market-leading reputation.
You will inherit a book of business comprising a range of trades within this specialist market, including but not limited to, Manufacturers, Distributors, Pawnbrokers and Retailers. Predominantly, you will be responsible for servicing your account, ensuring that you are maintaining and building upon existing relationships. However, although this isn’t a heavily targeted role, alongside servicing your portfolio, you will have responsibility for developing some new business. You will have a large territory to cover, spanning the South, and you’ll be expected to be ‘on the road’ more often than not.

This role can be based from the City, or a regional Head Office in the Home Counties.
My client is interested in speaking to candidates from a broking background, who ideally have previous experience within the Jewellery insurance market. In order to ensure that you secure immediate buy-in from your inherited clients, it is of paramount importance that you possess gravitas, sound technical insurance knowledge, and first-class interpersonal skills. Whilst not essential, professional qualifications under the Chartered Insurance Institute would certainly add weight to your application.
In return, you will be rewarded with a basic salary of up to £65K (depending on your experience), plus a range of company benefits, including bonuses, a company car, and an excellent pension scheme.
