One of the UK broking market’s major success stories seeks an experienced Account Executive to assume control of a long standing portfolio of accounts.
The make-up of this portfolio broadly reflects the South Yorkshire business community, which traditionally comprises clients from such industry sectors as Engineering, Manufacturing and Distribution, but more recently includes emerging professions and white collar risks.
This established portfolio various in size and technical complexity, with most clients generating premiums up to around the £50K mark. However, there are several clients, both from a specific high liability industry sector with premium spends between £100-200K. With these larger accounts, you will be given the option of working in conjunction with a vastly experienced Account Director, who is prepared to act as an ‘account guardian.’
This is a servicing Account Executive positon, with the primary focus of retaining and managing the existing book of business. There will be no expectations to develop the account in the first 12 months of employment, and you will not be given a business development target thereafter. That said, my client is happy if you can influence some new business, as long as that doesn’t ‘interfere with the day job’ of managing the portfolio.
It is essential that you are an experienced Account Executive, with a strong track record of arranging insurance programmes on behalf of businesses from a wide range of industry sectors, and that you are comfortable in dealing with clients from all walks of life.
You must have strong technical skills spanning all common commercial covers, including Property, Liability, Financial Lines, Commercial Combined and CAR, amongst others. You must also be an effective team player, who will demonstrate a flexible, solutions-focused approach and share this broker’s client-centric ethos.
In return, you will receive a negotiable basic salary that is anticipated to be between £35-40K, plus company car or car allowance, bonus and a comprehensive array of benefits.
