It is anticipated that you will regularly be handling clients that generate premiums up to £35K. That said, this broking house’s portfolio includes much more complex concerns, including those with six figure premium spends, so there is scope to satisfy even the most technically gifted Handler’s ambitions. Clients are from a range of industry sectors, broadly reflecting Sheffield’s business community – from Logistics and Distribution/ Logistics, through to emerging Professions.
You will be fully responsible for conducting all renewal exercises, as well as dealing with any mid-term amendments arising within your client portfolio.
As you will be in regular dialogue with both clients and insurers, superb communication skills (both written and verbal) are a prerequisite for this opportunity. You will pride yourself on providing a level of client service that is consistent with this broker’s fine reputation, and endeavour to play your part in ensuring that accounts are retained upon renewal.
It is essential that you have previous experience working in a similar Commercial Account Hander or Broker capacity. It is also imperative that you have a good understanding of all common commercial covers, although not necessarily at the £35K GWP level. As our client has a robust training programme in place, it able to appoint candidates from a SME background that are looking to build their exposure to corporate insurance.
