Well respected, provincial insurance broker based in the Stoke area has a great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join its team.

You will be handling a mixed portfolio of SME risks, dealing with premiums mainly generating circa £5K, however you may also be handling some larger cases when required. Working in conjunction with the Account Manager, you will be involved with renewal negotiations, new business broking and marketing exercises, as well as assisting with the general day to day management of your portfolio. As you will be working closely with the Account Manager, you will also be given the opportunity to attend client visits in order to build and maintain strong working relationships.
Ideally, you will have considerable experience working within commercial insurance, either from a broker or insurer background, and be au fait with all commercial covers. To be successful in this role you must be a pro-active, forward thinking, organised individual with a passion for success. You must also have the ability to effectively manage your own workload whilst delegating duties to the appropriate members of staff. Progress made towards professional insurance qualifications would be desirable, although not essential.
