As well as being one of the world’s biggest names in insurance, the Manchester operation of this prestigious broking house controls one of the largest branch-wide portfolios in the North of England.
Blue chip accounts ran out of the Manchester office include numerous household name companies, UK domiciled firms with extensive global exposure and highly complex niche businesses. Clients are from a wide range of industry sectors, from well-known Retailers and Manufactures, Property Owners controlling some of Europe’s most prestigious addresses, and highly innovative firms from the worlds of Science, Technology and Healthcare.
Due to internal promotion, the opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Executive to inherit a substantial portfolio of corporate accounts. The exact makeup of the portfolio can be tweaked to suit your skills and experiences, but it will generate a total brokerage of several hundred thousand pounds and solely comprise clients paying fees in excess of £15K+, with a number paying many multiples of this.
As this incumbent Account Executive is moving on to a new role in the business, your account will not be under attack from a departed colleague. Indeed, you will work closely with all the Account Executive team to ensure a smooth transition is achieved. Furthermore, you will benefit from the support of dedicated and highly gifted Account Handling, Broking and Administration Teams who will ensure a high level of client support is offered at all times.
It is important to stress that the focus on this role is very much on the servicing of the existing account, as opposed to new business. As such, you will be encouraged to grow the existing account organically through policy re-engineering and promoting ancillary services such as risk management. However, you will not be burdened with punitive new business targets.
Whilst it is not essential that you are currently managing corporate and global accounts, it is essential that you have a demonstrable track record as a Commercial Account Executive. You must be au fait with all common commercial covers, including Property, Liability, Fleet and Financial Lines. Progress made towards professional qualifications is not essential, but would add significant weight to your application.
You must be presentable, articulate and confident in your ability to build professional rapport at a senior level with key figures from extremely large businesses. Due the complex nature of the accounts handled, you will be expected to liaise with specialists from other areas of the business. As such, you must be a team player who can manage relationships with a variety of stake holders.
You will receive a generous basic salary (anticipated to be £35-50K although negotiable for outstanding candidates), company car or car allowance, bonus, support towards professional qualifications and an impressive range of company benefits.
