My client has a proud history of arranging bespoke insurance programmes for some very well known commercial and corporate concerns throughout the UK and internationally. In 2016, this company won an award for one of the best companies to work for within the insurance broking market.
You will manage a portfolio of clients typically generating individual premiums of up to £15K. Your duties will include, but not be limited to, conducting extensive marketing exercises, negotiating and securing renewals, processing policy endorsements, and handing general client enquiries. You will enjoy handling a variety of commercial risks including Property, Liability, Motor Fleet and Financial Lines, across a diverse range of trades and industries. Being an independent broker, you will be granted a high level of autonomy in relation to where you place business, and you will have the opportunity to attend some client visits in order strengthen key relationships.
It is essential that you have a good understanding of the main classes of commercial insurance, together with a strong level of market awareness. You must also be well organised, with a keen eye for detail, and the ability to produce accurate work. My client is looking for someone who, in addition to servicing clients, has a genuine desire to develop client relationships and cross-sell products, where appropriate. Equally, progress made towards professional qualifications would certainly be advantageous, although not essential.
