A well-respected, Chartered Insurance Brokerage in Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Executive to inherit a sizeable book of business.

This is a rare opportunity to inherit an existing book of commercial business, comprising SME and medium-sized corporate businesses, where you will take responsibility for providing a high level of service to valued clients. The portfolio will comprise a range of industry sectors, and is likely to include covers such as Commercial Combined, MLP, Liabilities, Cyber, Construction, Professional Indemnity, Motor Fleet, and many more.
This is very much a service-orientated position, and your main responsibility will be to develop strong relationships with your clients, ensuring you fully understand their business and needs, in order to maintain a high renewal retention rate. That said, you will be required to grow the account organically through policy re-engineering and identifying cross-selling opportunities. If you have a particular desire to develop new business, this is most welcome, and you will be able to do so you without being burdened by punitive new business targets.
It is of paramount importance that you possess gravitas, sound technical insurance knowledge and first-class interpersonal and relationship management skills, in order to ensure that you secure immediate buy-in from your inherited clients. When you’re not out visiting clients/ developing new business, you will be expected to be working in the office.
Professional qualifications under the Chartered Insurance Institute would certainly add weight to your application, as would a strong presence in the local business community.
In return, you will receive a basic salary of £38K - £45K, plus bonus and other company benefits.
