With a strong reputation for its service levels, and having witnessed a growth in client numbers of late, it is seeking an experienced Account Handler to join the Broking Unit in a senior capacity. In this varied and challenging role, you will assume control of the day to day management of key accounts. These will include larger (potentially six figure premium spend), and more complex accounts, from a variety of industry sectors, both blue and white collar. You will work in close conjunction with Account Executives and Directors, conducting a variety of broking duties, from making mid-term amendments, through to preparing renewal reports and broking new business cases on behalf of colleagues on the Development Team. Whilst there are no managerial duties per se, as a senior member of the team you will get the opportunity to assist with the development of colleagues, act as a technical referral point and provide help and advice to less experienced colleagues on an ad-hoc basis.
It is essential that you have extensive experience within commercial insurance, ideally with some exposure to six figure income cases, although we welcome applications from ambitious candidates who have dealt with some larger (£50K+ GWP) risks. You must be confident advising upon all common commercial covers, including Commercial Combined, Package, Property, Liability and Financial Lines, amongst others. It is anticipated that you will have made some progress towards professional qualifications, but we will consider applications from candidates with the above knowledge and experience who can demonstrate a genuine commitment to commencing studies within a realistic timeframe.
