This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected company in York as a Commercial Insurance Administrator.

As a result of increased volumes of business, a need has arisen for further administrative support within the Commercial and Charities departments. Duties will include, but not be limited to, taking phone calls from clients and insurers, chasing outstanding information, checking and producing policy documentation, and updating records on the computer system. You will be working in conjunction with highly experienced senior insurance professionals, where you will gain exposure to a wide range of fascinating clients and well known charities.

Due to growth, there are numerous roles within the business and our client will consider people from a range of levels. For example, they will consider bright, ambitious graduates, or candidates with previous office experience who have a genuine passion for administration and customer service.

The sky really is the limited within this company. Whilst there is no pressure to progress beyond this role, for those who want to, there is the opportunity to study towards professional insurance qualifications and progress into a number of areas including account management, sales, claims or management.

Importantly, you must have some previous office experience, together with a strong administrative ability. You must also have a good standard of education and excellent communication skills including a professional telephone manner. Whilst some insurance experience or knowledge would certainly be a bonus, this is by no means essential as full training will be provided.
