A premier insurance firm has an opportunity for a part-time Claims Handler to join its well-established team based in North Leeds.
As a local broker, our client offers its customers a personalised service, and takes time to fully understand its client’s requirements to provide tailored cover. However, as a Founder Member of Broker Network, it also has national backing, and access to the UK’s top insurers, enabling it to compete with the larger brokers.
It is essential that you have a genuine passion for claims handling, and pride yourself on achieving the best possible settlement on behalf of your clients within the policy terms. As such, you must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be able to manage claims in a fair and expedient manner. As well as keeping the clients abreast of their claims progress, you will be expected to attend regular claims reviews, provide your expert opinion on the best course of action to resolve claims, and give advice on preventative measures in order to keep your clients’ costs to a minimum. This is anything but the typical ‘post box’ broker claims handling role.
It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of working in a commercial claims environment. Applications from those individuals with a broking, insurance company, or adjusting background are welcomed. You will work 3 days a week, Monday & Friday are a must, along with an additional day of your choice, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
You will receive a basic salary of up to £25K pro-rata (depending on your experience), as well as a range of other benefits, such as working in modern offices and enjoying a friendly working atmosphere. As they are enjoying continued growth, there may be the opportunity to progress to a full-time position.
