A long-standing and highly respected Chartered Financial Planning practice is seeking an experienced and technically astute Paraplanner to assist with the ongoing servicing of its existing clients.

Being established in the local market for over 30 years, this advisory practice has gone through various acquisitions over the years, becoming a leading player in the ‘regional IFA’ arena. As a result of its continued organic growth, fuelled through the continued development and evolution of its existing client base, it now requires a technically competent individual to fulfil a hybrid role within its highly successful office-based team.

As well as providing technical paraplanning support to the Managing Director, you will manage your own select portfolio of clients from an office base. Specific duties will include conducting whole of market research across various product ranges and funds, providing supporting suitability letters. You will draft often complex reports for presentation to clients, as well as performing portfolio reviews. Your level of involvement will vary from case to case, as you will be responsible for making recommendations to certain clients, and will handle the majority of the advice process from start to finish.

It is imperative that you are Level 4 Diploma qualified. As well as having previous experience of the technical aspects of paraplanning, it is preferable that you have some client handling experience, either telephone based, or face to face. Being technically minded, you will have a strong understanding of a wide range of pension and investment products, as well as having a good general knowledge of the financial market. Organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise a diverse workload are paramount, as is the ability to manage internal and external relationships.
