This long-established, accredited financial planning practice in the Worcestershire area is looking to appoint a capable Financial Planner with a desire to run their own business.
My client is a local IFA practice that has been trading some 30 years, building a substantial client base of mainly HNW individuals, the majority of which being loyal clients for over 20 years. A ‘General Practitioner’, the practice deals with a wide range of private client financial planning solutions, with a slight bias toward investment planning/ portfolio management.
The Managing Director is looking to establish succession plans, seeking a technically sound and ambitious Financial Planner that can work with him through a handover period, then effectively take over the business. Whilst the practice only deals with a relatively small number of clients, it boasts in excess of £250K in recurring income. The role initially will be to assist the MD in servicing this, getting to know clients, until such point that you are ready to take over. My client is flexible on timescales for exit, and will work with the successful candidate to position the business for a full handover when appropriate. You will be supported by a long-serving, highly productive Paraplanner.
Ideally, you will already be Chartered/ Certified, though my client is keen to speak with individuals that may still be a few exams away, but with a demonstrable appetite for running their own business. Clearly it is imperative that you possess the necessary commercial acumen and drive to run a busy and profitable business.
A significant salary is on offer in the first instance, followed by the option to either run or buy the business. Either way, the result is substantial earnings potential through inheriting a very profitable and successful IFA business.
