Our client is a relatively new start-up broking house that has, within a couple of years of trading, written multi-million-pound GWP. As such, its Directors are very confident about the future and have ambitious plans for growth in the coming years.
This broker is part of a wider and established group of companies, and backed by several wealthy business people. It is also part of a well-known insurance network, giving it access to a range of competitively priced insurance products and the ability to offer its staff greater training than other similarly sized firms.
Due to the continued acquisition of quality accounts, the need has arisen to appoint a new Commercial Account Handler to join the team of 6. You will be responsible for the day to day servicing of a varied portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, comprising risks from a wide range of industry sectors such as Property Owners, Retail, Leisure and Manufacturing. Your client list will include accounts varying in size, from SME cases through to more complex risks.
Experience of working within commercial insurance is a prerequisite, and you will ideally have knowledge of a range of insurance covers such as Property, Liability, and Commercial Combined. As one would expect, working for a smaller firm, you must be a real team player who is willing to ‘muck in’ with all tasks. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must, as is a genuine passion for delivering client service.
