Due the imminent retirement of an incumbent member of the Corporate Division, Aston Charles has been retained to assist in the appointment of a Corporate Account Executive to inherit a portfolio of Corporate Accounts.
Our client is the Corporate Broking Division of a much larger group of companies, and is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious names in the North West business community. Our client boasts a fine reputation within the local insurance industry for the technical ability of its staff and the deep understanding it has developed of the issues affecting its clients. You will be responsible for servicing a long-established portfolio of Corporate Clients generating circa £300K commission and fee income per annum. The exact make-up the portfolio can be tweaked to suit your skills, experiences and ambitions. However, to give you an idea of the scale of this opportunity, this broker arranges some of the North’s most coveted insurance accounts, from the region’s best known privately owned companies through blue chip PLCs. A number of its accounts generate brokerage of circa £100K fee income each.
The majority of these clients have their Head Office in the North West of England, although there are several exceptions and a number will have secondary/ regional offices elsewhere, so a degree of travelling will be necessary. While our client tends to shy away from dealing with the more price-driven and ‘dirty’ risks, clients are from a wide range of industry sectors, including some challenging technical accounts within Manufacturing and Construction.
Working closely with a team of highly skilled Corporate Account Handlers and Brokers, you will be responsible for all elements of policy servicing and retention. As such, it is essential that you have extensive experience of successfully managing a portfolio of complex corporate insurance accounts. You will be well presented with an air of professional gravitas and be able to secure ‘buy in’ from clients. It is also of paramount importance that you can demonstrate a high level of technical competence. Our client anticipates that the successful candidate will already be ACII qualified, or, as a minimum, can demonstrate a commitment to achieving this status in a reasonable time frame.
