An excellent opportunity has arisen in its Newport branch; a chance for an experienced Account Handler / Broker to service the account of the Principal Account Executive. Here, you will manage a varied portfolio of accounts, that range in premium size from several hundred pounds through to tens of thousands of pounds. Clients are from a wide range of industry sectors that broadly reflect the region’s business community. For example, clients will include accounts such as Leisure, Property Owners and Manufacturing risks.
You will deal with general enquiries arising within the portfolio, as well as dealing with mid-term amendments, helping with clients’ renewal process and preparing with any documentation. As you would expect, you will also be expected to help with any ad-hoc duties as and when they arise.
You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as having a keen eye for detail and being thorough in your approach. You should also come from a commercial broking background, ideally being au fait with a variety of commercial covers, such as Package, Commercial Combined, Property and Liability. Whilst you will ideally have some experience of handling clients with premiums in excess of £10K, we certainly welcome applications from candidates from more of an SME Broking background who are ready to make that next move in their career.
