A highly successful Mortgage and Protection brokerage seeks a talented, passionate Mortgage Broker / Adviser to join its office based in the Leeds area.
With over 10 years of trading, the head of this firm has built up a large client base to the point that they require an experienced Mortgage Advisor to join and share the workload - in their words they are “busier than they ever expected”. The firm has built a strong reputation based on a premier service, with almost all of their business coming through recommendations.

Working both locally within the Leeds area, but also with clients nationwide, you will - through time and effort – ensure you really understand your clients’ requirements, and can advise upon the best mortgage and protection products in order to suit their own, individual needs. Researching and analysing the market, you will negotiate with lenders to secure the best deals, and work alongside your clients to guide them through the paperwork, ensuring a quality and ‘stress free’ service throughout the process.

Given you will be advising on Mortgages and Protection, it is a requirement that you have gained your CeMAP (or equivalent) qualification and thus are able to work from the ‘get-go’. As our client has more enquiries then they can handle, it is important that you’re organised, and able to work under your own initiative, whilst managing your own busy workload.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work autonomously, choosing your own hours as appropriate. It is therefore essential that you are flexible, hardworking and reliable, as well as having excellent interpersonal skills in order to build rapport with both your clients and lenders. Ideally, you will have previous experience of working for an independent mortgage brokerage and preferably, you will have some clients you can bring with you to supplement your commission.

This is a self-employed role with favourable commission splits and in return for your hard work and commitment, you can expect a realistic OTE of £40K+ (depending on your experience and client base). The principal of this firm explains that they have over £80K+ of Mortgage business to pass over, on which they would offer a 50/50 split. Further, due to being overwhelmed by the amount of business being referred, protection has gone untouched which offers an additional potential for earnings.

Cashflow assistance can be provided in the initial months, until you are ‘up and running.’
