Due to organic growth, a rare and outstanding opportunity has arisen with an award-winning and highly reputable advisory business in Leeds for a Technical Pensions Support/ Paraplanner.
Having operated for over 20 years from the centre of Manchester, the firm is now based between Warrington and Altrincham. The practice primarily deals in investments, with funds under management of around £40m and counting, and a portfolio of over 400 active local clients.
The main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to colleagues predominantly for pension cases. Essentially a paraplanning role, you will write complex reports and carry out research, as well as acting as a technical referral point for complex pension cases. In addition to the day to day responsibilities, you will be expected to ‘muck in’ and support the small but very busy and productive team. You will also be expected to complete all paperwork diligently, maintaining a keen eye for detail and strong communication skills.
Whilst not absolute necessary, holding Level 4 qualifications is greatly preferred, as would specific pension qualifications such as G60 or AF3. Technical knowledge, diligence and an ability to work autonomously are all crucial to the success of this role. As well as existing, proven Paraplanners, this role may suit a technically strong Advisers that seek a move into a back-office role.
