With pockets swollen through a significant cash injection, this leading brokerage has a sizeable war chest to invest in high performing individuals / teams.

Furthermore, the Leeds office has been nominated as the ‘UK Development Hub’, so our client is particularly interested in speaking to candidates in the local market who can slot easily into this established office, or who they can build a further satellite office around (this entrepreneurial firm is completely open as to how your appointment can take shape).

This opportunity is targeted to senior individuals in the market and, accordingly, you will be granted a great deal of freedom to set up a new team, desk or ‘business within a business.’ We welcome applications from individuals / teams who are at the top of their game within niche sectors / lines (Medical Malpractice, Latent Defects, Life Sciences or Heritage risks, for example), or ‘general practitioners’ who are well versed in the insurance requirements of clients from a wide range of sectors.

Unlike some competing models, you may find our client’s nimble approach refreshing. As the firm’s ‘top brass’ are all based locally, or they check into Leeds more than weekly, decisions can be made quickly at local level with no lengthy sign-off procedures, and it is quick to adapt to demands in an ever-changing market.

Equally, due to the locality of the board, your successes will be eminently visible and you will enjoy a high profile within the wider business. Furthermore, you will have the ear and support of some of UK’s most respected insurance professionals who have a vested interest in making your appointment a great success.

Working from the designated ‘UK Development Hub’ has other benefits too. You will work in close conjunction with the in-house Contact Management Unit that operates in a lead generation and appointment setting capacity. Here, you can educate Telesales Exec’s on which risks that match your new business appetite and how to identify prospects whose buying styles complement your unique approach. The same applies to the Marketing Department, who can leverage this broker’s considerable buying power with insurers to launch innovative new campaigns and initiatives.

This firm’s Broking Manager is heavily involved in this piece of recruitment, and is expecting to quickly forge strong bonds with you. He is exceptionally motivated to use his market knowledge and gravitas to ensure a sophisticated new business campaign is run from the off, and accounts are well managed (and defended!) thereafter.

It is important to note that our client is highly professional and will not entertain breaching covenants. It is however, well versed at conducting ‘team lifts’ and appointing senior ‘account controlling’ Executives and Directors. As such, you can be assured that its legal team will thoroughly scrutinise your contract and unique circumstances to make sure that contractual obligations are not breached, ensuring a stress free and lucrative appointment.
