A long established, independently owned loss adjusting firm is looking to expand its Property Division with the appointment of a Property Claims Handler.
The company has grown substantially over the years, both organically and through acquisitions, and it now boasts operations in several locations throughout the UK. Due to its network of international partners, it is also able to meet clients’ demands on a global scale.
In this role, you will assist a Loss Adjuster through managing a caseload of desktop Domestic and Commercial Property claims with values typically up £100K. You will appoint approved suppliers and contractors, whilst preparing reports in the appropriate format, ensuring that brokers are kept fully updated on all relevant matters throughout the life of the claim. In addition, you will maintain clear and accurate records of all quantum related issues, including reserves, in anticipation of file audits.
It is essential that you have previous experience of handling property claims and whilst commercial experience would be advantageous, a background in domestic home claims will also be considered. Most importantly, you must be an excellent communicator and negotiator, with a high level of self-motivation. In addition, you will be able to effectively manage your workload and be efficient in order to ensure systems, policyholders and Loss Adjusters are kept up to date with accurate information through the lifecycle of each loss.
