Having enjoyed a sustained period of growth, it is seeking an additional Account Handler to join the Commercial Team. Here, you will be based in fantastic offices in Birmingham city centre, with ample parking nearby, and close to mainline train stations and key arterial roads. Our client operates a very professional yet laid-back working environment where, as long as a high level of client service is achieved, you are left to your own devices.
This entrepreneurial broker is quite flexible about the exact nature of the appointment and, being more concerned about securing talent of the highest calibre rather than ticking all the boxes on a job spec’, can tweak the finer points of the job to suit your skills, experience and ambitions. For example, whilst it is anticipated that you will be handling middle-market business up to say £50K GWP, it is quite feasible that they would appoint a Corporate Handler to work closely with one of the Directors and manage a portfolio of corporate clients with six figure premium spends.
Our client states “first and foremost, we are looking for a quality operator”, so it is essential that you are highly professional, diligent, and meticulous in your approach, with a high degree of business acumen and exceptional communication skills. You must be from a commercial broking background, have a knowledge of all common commercial covers and understand the insurance requirements of firms from a variety of industry sectors, both blue and white collar. Ideally, you will have made considerable progress with professional qualifications under the CII. It is also envisaged that you will be currently using the Acturis broking platform.
In return, you will receive a generous basic salary (anticipated to be £30K - £40K, but completely negotiable) plus bonus, pension and support towards professional qualifications.
