This small, boutique business is led by a very well-connected MD who has lots of links with local estate agencies, as well as other introducers. Having been trading successfully for over 20 years, he is now in a position whereby he has too many enquiries to handle himself and as such, requires an additional Mortgage Adviser.
You will predominantly be dealing with estate agency business and you will be given autonomy to work within the office, from home and from the estate agents’ branches as you see fit.
You’ll benefit from access to the whole of market, as well as comprehensive admin support, which will free up your time to spend on advising.
It is essential that you have previous experience of advising on mortgages and that you hold the CeMAP qualification (or equivalent). My client will consider candidates from both an independent broking background, as well as those from restricted environments such as banks or building societies. Having your own clients would certainly be advantageous, although not essential, given the amount of ongoing enquiries.
You will enjoy working within a very friendly and supportive environment which is free from some of the bureaucracy that can be found in some of the larger firms. There is also a potential succession planning opportunity for the right candidate, with the chance to gain equity in the firm in the long-term when the MD approaches retirement.
The company will consider candidates on either a self-employed or employed basis. Once up and running, realistic earnings within this company are £65K+ and the first year OTE is circa £45K.
