With political uncertainty being daily news, coupled with some of the high street’s biggest names facing well publicised struggles, it is fair to say that 2018 has got off to an interesting start for the Credit Insurance industry.
As one of the most respected names in the North West’s business community, this long-standing brokerage is perfectly situated to help its clients ‘weather the storm.’ With a host of in-house technical expertise and strong insurer relations, it has the gravitas to provide its clients with the insurance programmes, and confidence, to thrive at this time.
The market is responding well to this approach, and as such, the need has arisen for two new employees to join its established Credit Insurance Division. In the first instance, it seeks a seasoned Account Executive to inherit a portfolio of Credit Insurance accounts. Its Credit Insurance team manages a diverse range of accounts; these include blue chip names from a variety of industry sectors, many of which possess complex and international exposures. As such, you will be attributed a portfolio that falls in line with your skills, experiences and ambitions. The focus of this role is very much on the servicing of an existing account, rather than new business development.
In addition, it is also seeking a New Business Exec’ to help capitalise on its profile in the market. In this role, you will be granted a great deal of autonomy on how you target business. For example, you may wish to pursue new business through your own means and network, or chose to work with colleagues from the Commercial and Corporate teams to cross-sell into their portfolios (as well as being regarded as one of region’s premier Credit Insurance brokerages, it also controls one of Manchester’s largest portfolios of commercial and corporate accounts). You will be welcome to service accounts won, effectively building a portfolio, or pass accounts on and remain solely working in a new business capacity.
In either instance, it is essential that you have a sound understanding of the Credit Insurance market, and the nuances of its various covers.
We welcome applications from those who have gained this knowledge and experience in either broking or insurance company environments. We are also willing to consider applications from those from related fields like commercial banking, factoring or invoice discounting.
This broker house’s charismatic Principal explains that he is quite happy to ‘pay what it takes’ to fill either position with the finest talent the market has to offer. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive range of benefits including performance-related bonus, car / car allowance, pension and support towards professional qualifications under the CII.
