This thriving broking house has created a fantastic reputation for the first-rate service it offers its clients.

This firm is based in Ashton-Under-Lyne town centre, close to all the shops and amenities, and an easy walk from tram and bus stops. Although it still transacts lots of business in the local market, as its reputation has spread, its portfolio of clients now includes companies from across the North West and further afield.

One of the things that makes this brokerage particularly interesting is that its Managing Director has held senior positions with well known national insurance firms. This is evident in the fact that, whilst its core business is very much the SME insurance market, it has an infrastructure that is much more aligned to a corporate broking house; it has a paperless environment, state of the art IT systems and the management team has invested considerable time in developing systems and process that allow the team to deliver an unrivalled client service.

The need has arisen for an additional Account Handler to join the friendly and supportive commercial team. Here, each month you will be allocated a varied renewal list and it will be your job to do a thorough fact-find to establish any changes to your clients’ businesses so you are best placed to offer a comprehensive cover at a competitive premium. You will also help administer any mid-term amendments arising with the existing client portfolio, and help to place any new business cases won by colleagues.

This broker has excellent relationships with all the main composites and has access to specialist markets for harder to place risks. It tends to transact business using Open GI as well as insurers’ own portals.
This broker transacts business with clients from all industry sectors, so as you may deal with a Contractor on one call, and then perhaps a Solicitor or wealthy Property Owner the next, it is essential that you can build rapport with people from all walks of life. You must also have some commercial insurance experience, gained in either an underwriting or broking capacity.

In return, you will receive a competitive basic salary, company benefits and support towards professional qualifications under the Chartered Insurance Institute.
