This well-established boutique wealth management planning practice in the Reading area is looking to appoint a capable Financial Planner to inherit a client bank for ongoing servicing.
My client is a local IFA practice that has been trading over 10 years, building a substantial client base of mainly HNW individuals, the majority of which being loyal clients of the MD for many years. A ‘General Practitioner’, the practice deals with a wide range of private client financial planning solutions.
Put simply, the Managing Director has too many clients and is unable to keep up with the servicing requirements. They are therefore seeking a technically sound Financial Planner that can work with him through a handover period and then take over the managing of c150 clients. The role initially will be to assist the MD in servicing these and getting to know clients, before taking full control of the aforementioned client bank. You will also be supported by a highly efficient back office team.
Ideally, you will already have experience of advising clients on a face to face basis. However, my client will consider Paraplanners and other individuals that are ready to make the step into a regulated advice role. The main requirement for this role is a sound knowledge of the financial planning process and the ability to deal with clients, both over the phone and face to face.
