You will manage an allocated broker panel and be responsible for generating new business across a range of commercial risks. You will be dealing with premium levels dependent on your experience, although you will be given the necessary training to deal with larger cases in due course. You will be dealing with a very committed broker panel and therefore you can expect to receive a great deal of incoming new business enquiries to convert. In addition, you will be accountable for developing broker relationships with new and existing firms, as well as cross-selling other lines of business.
It is essential that you have a technical understanding of Property, Liability and/ or Motor Trade insurance, ideally from an insurer background, although MGA experience may be considered. Most importantly, you must be driven and self-motivated, with a ‘Trader’s’ mentality and a genuine passion for maximising relationships.
