This prestigious broker has a presence across a number of locations, and is performing incredibly well both nationally, and locally in the Manchester market.

It is reinvesting its profits heavily back into its infrastructure, such as establishing sophisticated quality control procedures and a formidable marketing budget. It also seeks to invest significantly in its staff; both the acquisition of high calibre new talent and also the ongoing support and development of incumbent employees.

Whilst applications are welcome from applicants from all areas of commercial insurance, the Branch Manager is particularly keen to hear from experienced Commercial Underwriters who are looking to move into broking for this exciting new role.

As Commercial Account Manager, you will work with Account Executives and Directors and play a key part in the management of a portfolio of commercial clients. This will include helping to prepare renewals, writing reports, negotiating with insurers, and administering any mid-term amendments. You will be encouraged to develop a detailed understanding of the clients in your portfolio, in order to help design insurance programmes that best mitigate their exposures to risks.

Whatever your background, it is essential that you have a sound understanding of all common commercial risks. Whilst no means essential, it is anticipated that you have a strong academic background (ideally being a graduate) and that you have either commenced studies under the CII or can demonstrate a genuine commitment to doing so. You must have excellent communication, negotiation and report writing skills. You must also be well-organised and have a keen eye for detail.

In return, you will receive a generous basic salary (completely negotiable, but anticipated to be mid twenty thousands to early thirty thousands), a comprehensive array of company benefits (including support towards CII exams & memberships), a bespoke personal development plan and a myriad of opportunities for progression.
