You will be working in a lead generation and appointment setting capacity, arranging for Account Executives to visit prospects at their premises to discuss their companies’ insurance requirements. You will use your sales and negotiation skills to ‘get past the gatekeeper’ to speak to key decision makers. You will then use your professional rapport building skills to strike up meaningful dialogue about their business in order to pass on relevant information (premium size, personality types, renewal information etc) on to your colleagues. As you will be working in close conjunction with this firm’s marketing team, we are particularly keen to hear from entrepreneurial candidates who have bright ideas about new markets to target, fresh approaches to make, or innovative ways to promote the business in the local business community.
It is essential that you have previous work in a similar lead generation / appointment setting capacity, ideally gained from within a commercial insurance environment. You must be self-motivated, ambitious and a trader by heart, who takes great pride in the quality of work undertaken. You should also be business-minded and curious about different industries. Crucially, you must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to gain ‘buy in’ from Directors of large commercial and corporate business across a wide range of industry sectors, both blue and white collar.
