Your role will be to help grow the commercial sector accounts by providing comprehensive insurance solutions, as well as obtaining leads for the Financial Services and Risk Management divisions.
In line with this company’s risk appetite, you will target lucrative sectors such as Food, Hospitality and Manufacturing. Leads will come from internal referrals, ‘warm’ prospects, as well as ones that you self-generate. You will also service the business throughout the policy period with the assistance of the Account Handlers, overseeing the relationships and securing renewals, where appropriate.
Once prospects are identified, you will do a thorough review of their insurance needs and liaise with Underwriters in order to design a suitable insurance programme that provides competitive cover at a comprehensive premium.
You must be a self-starter, exceptionally well-organised and able to manage your own sales pipeline and existing client base. It is also essential that you are well-presented, articulate and able to build a professional rapport with a range of decision makers from a variety of industry sectors.
Ideally, you will come from a similar, customer-facing commercial insurance background. However, our client will also consider high calibre sales candidates from an FCA regulated environment, who would like to move into the commercial insurance arena. However, it is crucial that you have a strong track record in consultative sales, dealing with senior personnel within commercial / mid-corporate sized firms.
You will receive a basic salary of up to £40K (Negotiable), plus a car allowance and a generous bonus based on your performance.
