Due to continued expansion and ongoing success, this major UK broking organisation has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Account Handler in Manchester.
My client is one of the leaders in the UK general insurance market, offering a wealth of competitive products, unrivalled buying power, and some of the most talented staff in the industry.
Working within the dedicated New Business team, you will be responsible for securing profitable SME business via the telephone. Whilst this is a new business role, there is no cold calling involved as all the leads provided are referrals. As such, all prospect clients will be expecting your call, making this an easy introduction.
Your duties will include identifying your clients’ specific insurance requirements, accessing a competitive quotation from a range of markets, and ultimately closing the sale. You will provide cover for a wide range of commercial products including, but not limited to, Commercial Property Owners, Landlords, Shops, Offices, Retailers, Tradesmen, Manufacturers and Distributors, with premiums typically up to £10K. The quotation software that you will be using is predominantly system driven and straight forward to use, enabling you to secure cover quickly and efficiently.
It is essential to the role that you have some previous exposure to commercial insurance, although comprehensive product training will be provided in line with your specific needs. Just as importantly, you will have a passion for winning new business and proven success within a commercial insurance sales environment. Previous broking experience would certainly be preferable, although strong Underwriters with a new business focus will be considered.
