Due to organic growth, this rapidly expanding, niche insurance organisation seeks an accomplished Business Development Manager to manage and develop a portfolio of intermediary partners throughout the UK.
This organisation provides an innovative insurance product through a wide range of insurance channels and works directly in partnership with some well-known household brands.
Based from the company’s Head Office in West Yorkshire, you will inherit a panel of brokers throughout the UK and oversee the management of existing schemes, as well as identifying opportunities to develop accounts in line with the company’s strategic growth plan. In addition, part of your role will be to handle new business enquiries from new agency partners. Your role will include regular travelling to clients throughout the whole of the UK, and therefore you must be comfortable with some occasional overnight stays.
Due to my client’s product being niche, it is open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, although those from the insurance industry would be preferred. It is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to connect with people at all levels including Board level, a hunger for new business and a ‘competitive edge.’ You must also have the ability and confidence to conduct professional presentations to senior audiences. Finally, you will have a history of exceeding your targets in your current/ previous role.
